Well, as you can see, it happened. He made it to the top. I've been putting off installing the gate but after searching for Lucas, I found him at the top. Crazy kid! 
He just sat there staring at the gate for a few minutes trying to figure out what happened. He wasnm't that happy about it.

Eeek! I would have freaked out! I'm so thankful for baby gates, but they drive me insane having to open and close them all the time. I'm still waiting for the ones that sense the "adult" is coming and automatically open for you!
